International Jellyfish Conference (IJC)

During the opening ceremony of the Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka / Japan, the idea was born to organize an International Jellyfish Conference and to bring together the jellyfish specialists from all over the world to discuss the problems and success in the husbandry and exhibition of jellyfish. The first host for the IJC was 2015 the Kamo Aquarium again. In 2017 it was the Haichang Polar World Tianjin in China, in 2020 the Takeshima Deep Sea Aquarium in Japan and in 2021 the host will be the Nausicaa Aquarium in Boulogne-sur-Mer in France. There is a special IJC website (www.international-jellyfish.com), which is updated constantly and reports the recent news about the husbandry and special exhibitions of jellyfish
